Prayer

We are called to a life of prayer.

In many places where Jesus is speaking in the New Testament, He says, Ask anything in my name.

In the Old Testament the Lord says in Ezekiel 22:30,

And I looked for a man among them, that would make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it:  but I found none.”

When we pray on behalf of others for God’s protection or intervention, that’s called “intercessory prayer”, standing in for another, and enforcing the victories that Jesus won for us on the cross.

Prayer can take many different forms, sometimes quiet, listening and contemplative, and sometimes loud, prophetic and declarative, but it is all based on personal relationship with the Lord

In prayer, He invites us into His story (history!) to change lives, destinies and even nations. We are called to be a “House of prayer for all nations”, and therefore, we purpose to be a part of the 24/7 global prayer movement.

This kind of passionate, committed prayer that cries out, “Your Kingdom come; Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven!” is what the Lord is waiting to hear when He says that His eyes roam the earth looking for people on whose behalf He should take action.

As a fellowship, this kind of prayer for our loved ones, the Church, our communities, region, nation and the nations of the world is in our very foundations.

We meet every Thursday 4pm-6pm, to pray and seek the Lord.

You are invited to join us!
